Membership in the Canadian Pranic Healer's Association is voluntary and open to all Pranic Healers who have taken Level One Pranic Healing.

CPHA is an officially incorporated organisation that invites and sponsors visiting Masters of Pranic Healing from overseas to teach and lecture in Canada.

CPHA is a practitioner based organisation. They have extensive proven experience and success with Pranic Healing. The certification process includes rigorous evaluation, written examinations and written documentation of healings.

Benefits of Membership

Insurance scheme:  CPHA has a voluntary insurance scheme  for members who are professional practitioners (Associates and up).  Coverage is $236 a year for two million dollars liability and malpractice. Scroll down for details on coverage and how to apply.

You receive free Publicity: CPHA members who are certified as Pranic Healing Practitioners and / or Teachers and who practice and teach Pranic Healing professionally are featured on this website. This site is funded and managed by CPHA volunteers from member dues and donations.

Publicity materials: A generic poster template and brochure as well as some other materials are available on the Practitioners Only page for downloading.  The can be personalized with your information.

Becoming a Practitioner

The Institute of Inner Studies in Manila has developed the Healer’s and Trainers' Certification Program under the guidance of Grand Master Choa Kok Sui.

The certification program creates a group of professional, dedicated healers with consistent abilities, who have extensive proven experience and proven success with Pranic Healing. Healers are rigorously evaluated, providing written examinations and written documentation of healings.

Guidelines and Prerequisites for Certification

CPHA Bursary Program

CPHA has allocated some funds to support needy students who wish to take courses given by visiting Masters.
This applies to Master Level courses only. Bursaries do not apply to basic and advanced Pranic Healing or Pranic psychotherapy or other courses taught by local teachers.

Master level courses are less frequent and visiting masters from out of the country cannot be expected to take post dated cheques.

Bursaries awarded are up to 50 percent of course costs; and up to a maximum of $300. A committee of senior teachers evaluates applications.

Applicants must be members of CPHA.

CPHA’s key goal is to support the spread of Pranic Healing across Canada. Applicants are asked to tell us how they, in turn, support the spread of Pranic Healing e.g. by volunteering at local clinics, holding meditations, giving demonstrations, attending trade fairs etc. We know that some communities have centres and others don’t; and that opportunities for volunteering differ across Canada so just let us know what it is that you do or plan to do.

Group Rate Malpractice and Liability Insurance for CPHA Practitioner Members

CPHA is pleased to be able to offer group rate Liability and Malpractice Insurance through Impact Insurance Brokers in Concord, Ontario. The underwriter is Encon.

Overall administration is handled by the Preventative Health Services Group which has developed this program of support to offer affordable insurance geared to alternative health practitioners operating out of their home, visiting clients in their home or place of work, or in a clinic.

Who Is Eligible for Insurance?
This insurance package is offered only to members of CPHA so you must be a paid up member in good standing, and you must have achieved practitioner status by graduating from Master Choa Kok Suis’ certification program as an Associate or Certified Pranic Healer, or Teacher. (Authorized Instructors are not eligible for the insurance program).

What Does Insurance Cost and What Does it Cover?
Cost of insurance is $236 a year and coverage includes two million dollars in liability insurance and two million in malpractice insurance.

In addition to Pranic Healing, the insurance can cover an additional 16 modalities: Acupressure, Aromatherapy, Bowen Technique, Craniosacral, Iridology, Polarity Therapy, Reiki, Shiatsu, Thai Massage, Therapeutic Touch, Reflexology, Qi Gong, Swedish Massage, Relaxation/Chair Massage, Touch for Health, Hot Stone Massage, Deep Muscle Therapy. (Acupuncture is subject to an additional premium and a minimum 1,300 hour training program.)

What is Preventative Health Services Role?
George Keramaris at PHS handles all administration, renewal notices and broker/underwriter communication for an annual fee of $25 which is included in your $236 cost. Should you have a claim, the first person to contact is George.

How Do I go About Applying for Insurance?
Download an application form from the Preventative Health Services web site and send it to George Keramaris at PHS. Click on Application to download the form. (Web page info at end of document.)

Follow the instructions on the application form. For example, you must send copies of your training certificates to PHS along with your application and payment.

What About Start Dates and Partial Year Coverage?
Insurance is renewable every January. If your insurance begins partway through the year, the pro-rated cost is minus $13 for each month that you’re not insured.
